Winter... On the one hand it means cold, wet, dark nights. On the other there’s also all the totally awesome TV that comes along with the shorter days. Tonight for example, there’s enough on the box to keep even the fussiest couch potato happy.
First off the BBC’s simply brilliant spy drama Spooks (BBC1, 9pm) is back for it’s ninth series. The last series ended with a huge cliff hanger – so if you’re a fan you simply cannot miss tonight’s show.
If Spooks is a bit to serious for your liking, you can always switch over to Living for Britain’s Next Top Model (which is also on at 9pm) to watch the final three girls strike a pose in Malaysia. Watching it is the probably the closest you’ll get to sunshine until next spring.
At 10pm you’ve got two choices; serious and worthy vs. downright hilarious. There’s Jamie's American Food Revolution on Channel 4, and the pant wettingly funny Inbetweeners on E4. This week Jamie tries the classic chicken nugget gross out tactic, however American kids are far tougher to freak out than their UK counterparts. As for the Inbetweeners? Simon tries (and fails) to impress a girl by taking her to a gig. Expect plenty of cringy LOL moments.
If you’re not full up on tasty TV treats by now, there’s also Him & Her (BBC3 10.30pm) and This Is England ‘86 (C4, 11pm) to feast on.
One thing’s for sure, your Sky plus box is going to be working over time tonight. Hang around with us, and we'll be asking you what you've made of tongith's top telly, and don't forget to tweet us while you watch!
