Shameless, the American version

Shameless is great, it's funny, it's really and it’s something that we thought was uniquely British, but apparently not, because Showtime have remade it for US audiences.

We weren’t sure what we thought of the idea of a remake at first. The American version of the Office makes is feel a little bit ill.

However after watching the trailer we have to admit that acting heavy-weight and Emmy award winner William H Macy as Frank Gallagher was really impressive.

We’d quite like to see a few episodes now, even if it feels a bit like cheating on the original cast of Shameless.

    You can't re-event Shameless, the orignal version is and will always be the best.

    why must the yanks wreck all our shows!, did we remake sex & the city? Friends? or lost! its bullshit! they wanna see it they should see it as it was made same goes for skins US!

    First of all, they are all too clean and fresh-faced to be anyone from Shameless. Second, it all just seems so contrived, all I see is a bunch of actors, acting, whereas with Shameless you could almost believe they were real people. It's just too safe, too clean, too PG. Americans don't understand the meaning of real controversial television.

    same zoo i LOVED the first three series (especially veronica and kev) but after the forth it started going abit... shit

    I used to like Shameless but it all started getting a bit strange. The beautiful man who plays Jamie made me watch another series tho.

    i cant understand why they cant show the british version instead if its the same storyline?? if anything the american shameless version looks wayyyyyy bettter than the american skins version
