THIS Morning are playing it safe with their Holly Willoughby replacement when she goes off to have a little nipper. Two former GMTV stars are in the running to take over when Holly goes on maternity leave in May to give birth to a sister for her two-year-old son, Harry.
Fiona Phillips and ex-newsreader Helen Fospero have both had talks with bosses, along with Friday host Ruth Langsford. The show's big wigs are rumoured to want to “play it safe” and avoid recruiting anyone too edgy that could put off viewers, but we reckon they should throw caution to the wind. Edgy equals ratings in our minds, or at least lols for us - especially when presenters are allowed to embarrass themselves.
We reckon some of our suggestions below could work out much, much better...
Jedward - the Irish twins made famous on X Factor definitely have some kind of ADHD disorder and can hardly string a whole sentence together but we think they'd be great.
Peter Andre - because he's having such a bad old time of it lately and we feel quite sorry for him. And after that Justin Bieber fiasco on the Brits red carpet, lets face it, someone needs to give him a job.
Charlie Sheen - This Morning has never again reached the brilliance it did when they had a slurry Kerry Katona on the sofa. So what better way to bring back the magic than to have a US superstar with a very obvious drink problem interviewing Dancing on Ice contestants, like Kerry Katona?
Miley Cyrus - She needs a new project to stop her singing and we like watching the way that she talks which is frankly, like a chimp on speed. But one with nice hair and very white teeth.
