Tonight the Dancing on Ice stars left their professional dance partners on the side lines for their solo skate performances.
After revealing earlier in the week she was ‘terrified’ of taking to the ice alone, Chloe Madeley’s nerves got the better of her and she took a tumble on the ice after she lost her footing on a crossover.
Jason Gardiner was disappointed with the lack of ‘pizazz’ in Johnson Beharry’s routine, but fashion forward Jase made sure he brought enough ‘pizazz’ for the two of them with tonight’s suit/trilby combo. However, Emma reckoned her baby kicked throughout the whole of the ex-soldier’s routine – at least that means someone was still awake.
Laura Hamilton was amazing as usual and gave Emma Bunton goose bumps, while she nearly gave us a heart attack with her nerve wracking head banging routine. Then she slipped into some Daisy Duke hot pants for a dazzling solo performance, even though Jason was worried she lacked ‘musicality’.
DOI’s resident fitty, Sam Attwater was back on form, after a disappointing week last week, and definitely earned his place in the final with no major complaints from the judges.
Predictably, it was Johnson and Chloe in the Skate Off. Chloe made sure she didn’t make the same mistake twice, but admitted she was ‘petrified’ second time round. Johnson got emotional following his second performance, and seemed defeated before the result had even been revealed.
In the end, all three judges voted to keep Chloe in and Johnson left the ice for good. However, he assured everyone that there was: ‘No need to be sad. I’ve had the time of my life’. He was a brilliant contestant and we will miss his cheeky smile, but we think the right contestants made it into the final.
PS: did anyone else spot Harry off The Only Way Is Essex in the audience?!
