Blimey, what a great amount! After a brilliant run up to the big Comic Relief marathon, it's been revealed that an incredible £74,360,207 had been raised earlier this morning.

The total is the largest amount ever collected in Red Nose Day’s 23-year history and it was all thanks to the likes of the Kaisut Desert Trekkers and Chris Moyles and Comedy Dave’s record-breaking radio broadcast.

In fact, the rather happy people at Comic Relief have revealed that they received so many calls during yesterday’s broadcast that they peaked at 268 calls per second at one point! And the show itself went so well thanks to the fantastic presenting line up of Fearne Cotton, Davina McCall, Michael McIntyre and others - who took it turns to front the show into the early hours.

And of course we can’t forget the celebrities who made the laughs. James Corden brought back Smithy while Alan Carr, Catherine Tate, David Walliams, James Corden and John Bishop auditioned to be Fake That in front of the real Take That. And we couldn’t help but enjoy the amazing Kim Cattrall, Jennifer Saunders, Victoria Wood and Joanna Lumley come together for spoof sketch, Uptown Downstairs Abbey. Brilliant!

So what were you favourite parts of the show and which bits made you giggle the most? Did you have a little cry at the video footage like us too? And have you down anything exciting to raise money for Red Nose Day. Do tell us below…
