Jason Gardiner’s had a rough time on this year’s Dancing On Ice. Some reckon he brought trouble on himself with his catty comments, while some of you think that DOI views have been quick to complain about nothing.
Well at last someone’s said something nice about Jason. His fellow Dancing On Ice judges Emma Bunton and Robin Cousins have stuck up for the hat-loving dancer during a chat with Phil and Holly on This Morning.
When asked what they think if Jason’s acerbic comments, Robin actually admitted he wished he could be just as honest, "Sometimes I think 'gosh I wish I had said that' or had the nerve to say it! I've always said I love the fact that he has an opinion and he’s able to justify it and say it - I wish I could have the nerve to say similar, probably not the same thing! But to have the nerve to be that blunt."
While Emma revealed that not only does she often find Jason’s remarks quite funny, but the skaters take his critiques most seriously; “Sometimes I'm trying not laugh. He does make me laugh...but I don't laugh at all of them. They [the skaters] really want to hear what Jason has got to say... and although they might not like it at the time they really think about it and go away and work on those things. I have known Jason for years, and he does say to me 'you're not wearing that are you?' he's very, very honest and some people take it with a pinch of salt and some take it very seriously."
