It's been a big week in Coronation Street news, but have you ever been watching your favourite soap and thought you could come up with a better storyline than what's on your screen? Maybe you fancy spicing things up for some characters, or toning it down for some of the other more hectic ones… Or perhaps you’ve always wanted to see certain people breaking up, or getting together? Well here we have some of our favourite ‘what if’ storylines from soap bloggers David, Meg, Glenda and erm... FHM. What do you think? Let us know if you've got any soap storylines you'd like to see in the comments!
Personally I've always wanted Emmerdale and Corrie to do a full crossover, such as Jimmy King turning up in Weatherfield for the week and getting involved with the locals, or Ken and Deirdre turning up to stay at the B&B in Emmerdale. Another storyline I'd like to see is Carla's family turning up in Weatherfield, with her mother being an ex-drug dealer and her brother Darren in prison for armed robbery; it'd be funny to see the residents’ reaction to the other side of Carla's life.
I would like to see some of the Coronation Street characters of the past (of course those not dead) come back to the street and give their impressions or take on the changes on the street!
I want Shelly to return and get into trouble as per usual... perhaps a meet up with Tracy could be in the works. I want to see if she could stand being on the street now that all of those who drove her away are essentially gone! She could come back and mess things up with Tracy or could she be interested in Peter?
What would Toyah think of Leanne's love triangle? Would she be there to support Leanne or cause drama as per usual? I think Toyah could be the person who keeps Leanne on point... but I doubt she really could be controlled!
I would like to see Spider Nugent and Toyah Battersby returning to Coronation Street to set up an organic juice bar in Nick's bistro. Then the two of them would live happily ever after serving up smoothies. I would also like to see Nick's bistro going bust, resulting in Nick being sent to prison for VAT fraud. Meanwhile I think Gail should finally find and keep the man of her dreams and Rita and Norris should definitely get married!
Hollyoaks - from our friends at FHM…
All of the Hollyoaks girls should start a carwash business in their spare time over the summer… Our opinion on this is well documented, because we put it on the cover of our September 2010 issue: 28 days after an exceptionally saucy Sunday omnibus transforms the men of Britain into lust-crazed zombies, the Hollyoaks girls must strip for action. Or maybe not...
