It's no secret that we are die-hard Gleeks and we pride ourselves on being authorities on the subject. If we were on Mastermind, the goings on of McKinley High might be our specialist subject. But apparently, we've been overlooking the shining jewel in the Glee crown - head Warbler and king of Kurt's heart, Blaine aka the multi-talented Darren Criss.
We have to admit we were dubious about the latecomer at first. For starters, he's the leader of a rival show choir - surely it would be treason to like him! Plus, we were worried he might break poor little Kurt's heart. But he's slowly won us over by getting drunk and snoggy with Rachel, being Kurt's guide down the yellow brick road of gayness and actually making us wish we were a homosexual 16-year-old boy when he performed 'Teenage Dream'.
Then, earlier this week, we saw this so-cute-we-actually-cried-a-little-bit video of a tiny, tiny Blaine fan recreating the Katy Perry tribute and we knew that Mr Criss is headed for the big time. Not just anyone has an adorable Filipino mini-me.
Darren's no stranger to YouTube stardom himself - he made his name as Harry Potter in the wonderfully camp sounding 'A Very Potter Musical' and 'A Very Potter Sequel'. He's also responsible for some of the songs on the questionable 2010 musical, 'Me and My Dick'. Wonder what Dalton Academy for Boys would think of that one.
In the past, we might have been preoccupied with Lea Michele's diva demands, Matthew Morrison's relentless smoothness and Dianna Agron's pretty hair but Darren Criss, with your swarthy good looks and willy-based music, you are our new Glee crush.
