Gavin and Stacey star Joanna Page has revealed that there most probably will not be a Gavin and Stacey movie anytime soon. Boo! Hiss! Etc. Talking to PA, the party pooper said:
"I'd like to make a film if we could be filming in Hawaii or Spain or somewhere, that would be nice, but I don't think we'll ever do a film because everything was all done in the telly series," Ok, so on the bright side, she didn’t 100% rule it out! It could totally work in Hawaii, maybe they could all go next time Coleen Rooney jets off?
However, while there may not be a film on the horizon, Joanna did say she would love to do something else:
"I'd quite like to do a musical - that would be quite fun if we could do it all with rock songs; although my singing is not that wonderful, so I'd probably have to speak-sing my bit."
A Gavin and Stacey musical? Well, we are sure Bryn would be up for all the singing. However, maybe just a Christmas special would do it for us and we just might have a feeling one could be on it’s way…
Joanna Page talks babies!
Joanna also talked about her mate James Corden’s new arrival, his son who arrived in March. While she hasn’t met him yet, she thinks Smithy will be a brilliant dad: "I've seen photos of him but I haven't seen him in real life. He just looks adorable and James is going to be an absolutely perfect father.” Afterall, he had been practicing on set with baby Neil!
"When we were doing the third series he was just amazing with the little baby we had and he just looked like he was made to do it. I'm the sort of person who can never think of anything to say to a baby, but he just looks like a natural." Joanna said. We know how she feels, we can never think of things to say to babies either, we’ve tried everything, but they just act like they can’t talk.Oh…
