Amanda Holden on Simon Cowell: "What man would he be to sack a pregnant woman?"

Amanda Holden on Simon Cowell:

Amanda Holden is really working on those tactics to ensure she keeps her job as a judge on the panel of popular talent show Britains Got Talent . The 40 year old even claims she’ll make Simon Cowell godfather to her unborn baby if it means not getting the sack. Smart Move?

News broke last week that David Hasselhoff would not be returning to the panel in the next series, and after that Cheryl Cole fiasco earlier this year it’s no surprise that Amanda’s worried about keeping her job!

Amanda was very happy to announce that she's 3 months pregnant, after suffering her second miscarriage back in February. We've done the math, and worked out that the baby will be due right around the time Amanda will be moving across the country scouting for talent. Amanda has been with the show since it all started back in 2007, so maybe her loyalty will impress grumpy old Simon. She recently told TV Biz,

"Simon is the ultimate godfather. I'm going to make Simon godfather so I don't get the sack from Britain's Got Talent.”

Amanda went on to say that she has been told her place on the panel is safe, and warned that Simon will have to face her wrath if she hears differently,

"They'll work round me. What kind of man would he be to sack a pregnant woman? I could probably sue him, couldn't I?"

Sounds like a woman we wouldn’t want to mess with, but as we all know Simon does rule with an iron fist. Amanda is even trying to get the Hoff his job back, calling him an “asset” to the team, only time will tell.

Mind you, if we were in Simon's shoes we'd be more worried about The Hoff's next move. As we've been told many times "Nobody hassles the Hoff".

I agree devalle, to an extent. Next time I fall pregnant (if I do), I'm going to keep it quiet until after 3 months. But Amanda lost her last baby quite far into her pregnancy, after the 'safe' period. It shows that it can happen any time.

I think it's lovely that she's pregnant again but I'm really surprised she's talked about it so soon and to absolutely anyone who will listen. What happened to her twice before was awful and if it was me, I'd only share it with close family and friends and be keeping a lowish profile until it was too obvious to deny (and hopefully too far gone to go wrong again).
