Holly Willoughby has quit Dancing On Ice in order to host The Voice, heatworld has just learned. The bubbly presenter will remain in her job at This Morning alongside Phillip Schofield, but will not be by his side at the side of the rink when the next series kicks off.
Daybreak co-host Christine Bleakley will take over from Holly on Dancing On Ice, and she sounds pretty excited about it."I've always been a total Dancing On Ice addict, so really is hard to sum up how excited I am to be joining the team."
Her new co-host Phillip Schofield was also full of praise, saying, "I'm absolutely delighted that Christine is on board." Holly herself took to Twitter to confirm the news, declining to mention The Voice job, but adding, "Good luck to Christine Bleakley on this year's Dancing On Ice. It's a truly magical show and you'll love it. I'll miss you all very much!"
Holly also joked that she wasn't pregnant again, and has so far given no comment about her reported role on BBC1's huge upcoming talent show The Voice. So far the BBC have signed up singer Jessie J as a judge, and Kylie Minogue is rumoured to be in talks.
Are you saddened by this news, or do you think Bleakley will do a good job?
