Tonight’s the BBC’s annual fundraising extravaganza! Whether you’re planning on tuning in at 7pm to watch every single second of celeb-packed charity fun, or if you plan on catching up with the action once you’ve dragged yourself in from the pub, here’s our guide to the best of what to watch, see and do…
The music
*Screeeeeeeeeam* One Direction will be opening the show, so if you’re boy band fan make sure you’re on your sofa promptly at 7pm!
Other musical guest throughout the night will include JLS and Westlife, and of course The Collective – the band formed especially for Children In Need – will perform their single Teardrop. Look out for Gary Barlow, Ed Sheeran, Tinchy Stryder, Chipmunk, Ms. Dynamite, Tulisa, Wretch 32, Rizzle Kicks, Mz Bratt, Dot Rotten and Labrinth all live on stage!
The cast of EastEnders will rock us Queen-style as the Queen Vic does Queen. And we’re particularly excited about showbiz legends THE MUPPETS leading an all-star rendition of Manah, Manah! Miss Piggy, Kermit – brilliant!
And if you’re looking for the awwwwww factor, how about Gareth Malone leading a 10 piece choir who will link up with over 3,000 children around the country.
Comedy and more…
The Dragon’s Den lot have been long-time supports of CIN, and this year they’re doing something extra special with Lord Alan Sugar. Get ready for The Dragons’ Apprentice.
Meanwhile Vic and Bob will join in with a special episode of Russell Howard’s Good News, and the Newsreaders will attempt to pull of their most ambitious dance yet.
Emily Maitlis, Sophie Raworth, Susanna Reid and Sian Williams will face up to the Strictly Come Dancing judges as they attempt to wow Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood with their ballroom dancing.
