We don’t know about you, but heatworld spent yesterday muching through our own bodyweight in Christmas dinner and watching Christmas day telly.
The big TV battle of the day was between BBC1’s EastEnders and ITV1’s Downton Abbey – both of which screened at 9pm yesterday.

There was high drama in Albert Square, as Ben was revealed as Phil’s stalker and Yusef prepared to set fire to the B&B. Over on Downton Abbey’s festive Special Bates was found guilty of murdering his ex-wife, and Lady Mary finally got rid of creepy old Sir Richard and found herself in the arms of Matthew! Hoorah!
A peek audience of 9.92million viewers turned into ‘Enders, with 700k catching up on BBC Three at 11.05pm. Downton Abbey attracted an audience of 8.13million viewers from 9pm, with a further 433k catching up on ITV1+1.
Absolutely Fabulous made it’s return to TV with a peak of 7.43million viwers, while the Beeb also scored big with the Narnia-themed episode of Doctor Who and 7.25million tuned in to see Charlie Brooks’ and Vincent Simone lift the Christmas Strictly Come Dancing glitterball trophy.
