We are still in shock, at the news that the original Princess of the Queen Vic, Sharon Watts will be returning to our screens this summer!
The renaissance of former EastEnders stars continues with Letitia Dean, who plays Sharon agreeing to a new 12 month contract.
Albert Square is always a lively place when fan-favourite Sharon is in town, but the Walford star has not featured on the show since 2006. She is also one of the original cast members from the show, which began back in 1985. Has it really been that long?

Her most famous roles included stormy relationships with both Mitchell brothers, Grant and Phil, and she is also the adopted daughter of Walford bad boy Dirty Den. She is delighted to be back, and so are we!
Letitia told the Daily Mirror, “I am really looking forward to being a part of the EastEnders team again. The show has always been very close to my heart.”
Letitia will begin filming the show in May, and fans can expect to see her back on their tellies in late summer.
Show chiefs are delighted to have persuaded Letitia, 44, back to the square for one last time.
Executive producer of the show, Bryan Kirkwood, told the newspaper, “Sharon is a real favourite with EastEnders' fans and we can't wait to see her back.”

Letitia's been busy
Since her last performance on the show in 2006, Letitia took to the stage and starred in High School Musical as well as appearing on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing.
One of Sharon’s most famous scenes attracted a whopping audience of £18 million people, when her affair with Phil was revealed in front of Grant.
