There are some things that just shouldn’t be joked about. Ever. Like JK Rowling writing more Harry Potter books, or Robert Pattinson giving up acting to become a monk who lives in the Himalayas. Most of all, no one should ever kid around about the much longed for Friends reunion.
It’s just one thing we don’t have a sense of humour about, because we’re so desperate for it to actually HAPPEN!
We’ve had so many false alarms about a potential film or TV special, as the cast are constantly asked of they’d be up for reprising the roles that made them household names. Matt LeBlanc is the latest Friends alumni to be quizzed about the show, telling TMZ when asked by a reporter if there’s ever going to be a follow-up, “I wish… I could use the money.”
Considering Matt just won a Golden Globe for Episodes and that at it’s peak the Friends cast were earning millions, we can’t imagine he’s serious about needing the cash.
Then do it for the love, Joey. Erm,we mean Matt! Do it for us!
It’s all gravy
After his globes victory on Sunday, Matt spoke to the press about working on Friends, admitting it was a once in a life time experience, he said,
“To be one of those six actors on that show was something I’ll never forget as long as I live. Everything else, the rest of my career, I look at it as just gravy. I mean it’s not supposed to get that good - ever - and it did. And the now the fact that I can go work on something else to make this happen? I can’t wait to see my mom give her a big hug and say, ‘Look at this!’”
Hmmm, someone sounds like they might miss working on Friends just a little bit. Would YOU like to see a Friends reunion or should it be left alone now?
