Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry has revealed that he has no plans to turn the epic show into a movie when the series ends this year after eight long seasons.
We were hoping that somehow we could carry on watching the wives from Wisteria Lane, but although Cherry admitted to leaving a few loose ends untied in the finale of the show, he insists that he will “never be sending these gals to Dubai”, hmm… We wonder whether he’s talking about Sex and the City 2?!
Cherry did reveal that fans could expect a few familiar faces returning towards the end of the season and that he is being “hyperprotective” of the ending which he says he has envisioned since the show first started way back in 2004.
Executive Producer Bob Daily has said that the final series will mirror many aspects of the first series and will come full circle in it’s conclusion.
Returning Characters?
We cannot wait to watch the last series of Desperate Housewives! Even if it will be the last time we see Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria together on screen. We wonder who might return? Rumours have speculated that Dana Delaney may reprise her role as Katherine at some point during the season. If only Edie could come back from the dead!
