Ooh, now this is getting good. will.i.am has confirmed that he does want Cheryl Cole to appear as a guest performer on The Voice. Simon Cowell is going to be sooooo furious if that happens!
If Cheryl does sing on The Voice it will be a massive two-fingered salute to Simon after he unceremoniously dumped her from The X Factor USA. will.i.am is of course a judge on the BBC’s new singing talent show and he’s also Cheryl’s manager, so it makes perfect sense for her appear on the show. We imagine Beeb executives are rubbing their hands together with glee at the prospect of getting one over on Simon.
“I want her on The Voice. I mean why not,” Will tells The Sunday Mirror. “That would really p*** the big man off wouldn’t it.
“This is her year by the way - Cheryl is back! You all gonna love her new music - it’s on it, on the money.”

“I think she misses me”
That sounds like fighting talk to us. And we reckon this latest move will really infuriate Simon as he recently said that he would welcome Cheryl on to the judging panel of any of his shows, telling The Sun,
“She could be a panellist again if she wanted to — 100 per cent. I don't know if she would. I think she probably misses me.”
Looks like Si-Co will be out of luck on the Cheryl front though, as will.i.am laughed off the TV mogul’s offer saying publicly that Cheryl is much bigger than The X Factor,
“Cheryl won’t do X Factor. Why does she need it? Why are you going to make someone else rich? Cheryl needs her own show.”

Simon vs The BBC
Cheryl snubbing Simon for will.i.am and The Voice is just the latest incident in the battle between Simon Cowell and The BBC. Simon recently admitted to poaching Alesha Dixon from Strictly Come Dancing for the Britain’s Got Talent judging panel purely to get at the Beeb. And Simon has also said that he feels the public broadcaster have only launched The Voice as deliberate way to spoil BGT and The X Factor,
“It is 100 per cent a declaration of war. They launched The Voice because they don’t like BGT and X Factor being successful,” Simon confirmed.
All this retaliation does seem a little childish – but it sure is entertaining for all of us. The ball is now in Simon’s court, we can’t wait to see what he’ll do next.
