Hands up who watched Damion Merry single-handedly create the most awkward bit of TV we’ve seen EVER on Take Me Out? Well, over 1.2million YouTube views and two weeks later, Jodie Marsh has now spoken out about Damion’s supposed relationship with her.
Damion managed to turn the entire 30 girls against him on the show, including the reluctant winner of a date with him, Chelsea Stewart. Not only did he reveal he only wanted to date a brunette (when only blondes had their lights left on), but his mate also claimed he’d dated Jodie Marsh. Ba-bow! Ba-bow! [That’s the sound of lights turning off, obvs]
The glamour model has denied any relationship with Damion though, speaking about the claims on This Morning. “I tell you what, this guy - I went on one date with him, one date,” she said. “We had pictures in a nightclub, he sold the pictures to the TV show or whoever and gave them away and now its being told that we had a whole full blown relationship and that I was his ex girlfriend.”
Eamonn Holmes then asked, "Did you snog him?” Jodie replied, “I kissed him on the lips - and that's it - we're married and having kids! So obviously I knew from that one date that he wasn't my ideal man lets say and now I'm getting stick from this show and from people saying "Oh my God, I can't believe you went out with that guy, he's so hideous"...and I didn't go out with him.”
Damion has since taken to Twitter, complaining, “'ITV bothered more about Jodie Marsh than they are all this s*** happening to me? This is so unfair.
