One Direction have continued their mission to take over America with an appearance on Saturday Night Live this weekend.
The cult comedy sketch show is famous for attracting the biggest celebrity names as both guest hosts and musical performers, with everyone from Justin Timberlake to Lindsay Lohan gracing the SNL stage.
The boys joined guest host Modern Family star Sofia Vergara in one skit (thanks to copyright restrictions youtube doesn’t have a clip for us to show you) and performed two songs, What Makes You Beautiful and One Thing.
Ahead of their debut
Harry Styles told MTV.com that the group was excited about appearing on the show and having the chance to goof around, "I think a lot of it is gonna be a big adrenaline rush. The show's so big over here. I think it's going to be a lot of fun and I think we're gonna have as much fun with it as we can."
While
Niall Horan also revealed that the boys were looking forward to having some fun and getting stuck in with the comedy, "This is our kind of show. You know, we like to have a bit of a laugh. This is our perfect kind of show [and] we get involved as much as we can."
With the help of some silly wigs and fake moustaches the boys played Sofia’s Spanish children, making an appearance on The Manuel Ortiz Show during one of the SNL sketches. Oh, those crazeee boys!
