Well, One Direction have done it, The Wanted have done it, Adele has done it, Jessie J has done it – even good old Olly Murs will be doing it very soon… so it’s no surprise that the poptastic Saturdays ladies will soon be heading to America – to work on their own TV show.
Yep, the girls have landed their very own reality show across the pond and, according to The New York Post, will be making a fly-on-the-wall series for top Entertainment channel E! Eek!
It’ll be the first real shot Rochelle Wiseman, Frankie Sandford, Una Healy, Mollie King and Vanessa White will have taken to launch their singing careers in the States even though they have apparently been toying with the idea for a while now. Rochelle had even joked to Digital Spy that it could be “fun” to take part in a reality show set in America.
It seems The Sats got a big fat "yes" from the States after four of the girls met with TV bosses in Los Angeles earlier this year (Una was at home getting ready to give birth). But details of when the show will be air have not yet been confirmed.
You might remember that The Saturdays have already filmed one reality series back in 2010 – for UK audiences. The Saturdays 24/7 went out on ITV2 and followed the pop lasses as they attended shoots, meetings and met fans.
We wonder if this show will be similar, or whether the group will be heading out to the US to film something extra special for them out there. And if they do travel to America, will baby Aoife go with them? Who will watch the puppies (oi, get your minds out of the gutter – we mean the girls' pet dogs)? Will The Saturdays be the next Brit stars to crack America? We’re on a roll out there, so we certainly hope so!
