How did it feel? Did you think all the girls would leave their lights on for you?

Well, it was probably just because I was the last guy, they all wanted to go on a date didn’t they? I didn’t expect it though, because I do modelling - you know a good looking guy when you see one so I guess I’m always comparing myself and girls always like different things don’t they some like a skin head and different looks, not everyone goes for my look. So I thought maybe I would get, like, 10 or 15 girls but not that many. I was very flattered.

How did you narrow it down, do you think you made the right choice?

I was talking to my Dad actually before the show and he said remember you do have to take one of these girls on a date at the end of this. So I just tried to keep that in mind. I wanted to go for someone that was a little bit more calm. There were lots of girls giving me compliments but I didn’t know if they were just saying it because they wanted to go on a date with me. I had Lucy and Katie as my final two because they were a bit calmer than the rest of them. Katie was a bit older and Lucy was a model, so I picked her because I thought we’d have something to talk about on the date. I wanted to make the right choice because I thought to myself, it wouldn’t be bad to meet someone from the show.

Do you usually have much luck with the ladies?

I get a bit of attention when I go out with my mates but I wouldn’t say I’m massively popular with the ladies, I don’t go out that often I’m quite boring to be honest (laughs).

What’s your pulling technique?

I don’t really have one. I wouldn’t do chat up lines, I think it’s the worst way to go about it. Usually I just chat to someone, you can tell what they’re like, if they’re nice they become more attractive and if they haven’t got good chat they become less attractive.

Why did you go on the show?

My mate was actually on it - Tom the golfer - and I was speaking to him about how he was getting on with his auditions when he put me forward to be in his film. But then last minute they called me in to see if I would be on the actual show. At first I said no because I always say no to everything but then I thought do you know what? You only live once.

Where would you take heat on a date?

I’d go to the zoo, I love animals and it’s quite relaxing for you. It gives you something to talk about as well and to laugh about. Then we could go to dinner. I always think it’s good to do something first, if you just go for a drink or dinner straight away and you’ve got no common ground it can ruin it so it’s always nice to do something that you can talk about later on to break the ice.

What’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever done?

It’s quite funny actually. I’ve done all the usual things cooking dinner and buying flowers but one Valentines I tried to do something special. She came to mine and I’d got her this dress, from French Connection I think it was, that she’d really wanted. I hid it under my jacket and when she arrived at my house I said “can you go and get my jacket for me?”. I heard her go upstairs and then she just didn’t say anything, so I went up to see what was going on and she was sitting on the edge of the bed with the dress nearly in tears. She said “who’s is this?” and I was like it’s for you it’s the dress you wanted. I did use that against her for a while.

You’re a model, what campaigns have you done?

Lots of sports campaigns. I’ve been on the front cover of Mens Fitness and I’ve modelled for underwear James Tudor I’m their body on the box.

What’s next in your career now that you’ve been on Take Me Out?

I don’t know. I know a lot of people go on the show to seek fame but I’m not really like that, I think that’s why they liked me on the show I’m pretty laid back. If stuff did come my way though I wouldn’t say no. I’ve done TV work in the past on This Morning I think I do well at it purely because I don’t take myself too seriously.
