We don't know about you Heatworld citizens, but we couldn't quite choose who we wanted to win this year's series of Britains Got Talent. It seemed as though the general public knew their winner, as results showed that the nation had their heart set on Ashleigh and her loveable mutt Pudsey being top dog and winning the prize money and the slot to perform at this year's Royal Variety Performance.
The judges shocked viewers at the beginning of the night with their wild card choice to bring back band The Mend. The band performed David Guetta and Usher's hit Without You and won praise from the panel. Welsh dance group Nu Skool also wowed the judges, especially Amanda Holden who gushed,
“Every time we see you just explode on the stage, I absolutely love you.”

However Amanda wasn't so keen n Kai and Natalia's sexy ballroom routine to Bruno Mars's Runaway Baby. Despite Natalia's rehearsal injury, Amanda still deemed the performance "lacking of passion".
The youngest finalist, Molly Rainford, performed her own rendition of the challenging Ave Maria and the judges were wowed, with David commenting,
“Molly, in years to come when you are a world famous singer, people will look back at this clip and say ‘oh my she was even fantastic when she was 11 years old.’ That was absolutely astonishing well done."
It seems as though Simon was very impressed with The Loveable Rogues rendition of Honest. The usually harsh judge said,
"You’re like someone who has already made it and comes on the competition as a guest- it would be very easy for you to do the same song, you didn’t… There is a real market for you and I predict great, great things for you.”
One act tipped to win the show, Aquabatique, surprisingly scored a mixed review from the panel. David Walliams backed the girls from the beginning, but was left a little deflated from their finale performance, saying,
““I didn’t love it quite as much as your performance the other night"
The usually safe act, Only Boys Aloud, stunned the judges and audience with their stand-out rendition of Calon Lan. Alesha Dixon commented,
“That was very special… I can feel the passion from every one of you … I commend you all, all of you should be proud.”

Now for one of Simon Cowell's favourite acts, an opinion that he didn't make much of a secret, Ashleigh and her performing dog Pudsey. The dancing duo descended from the ceiling in a Mission Impossible style performance, Pudsey even ran accross the judge's panel! A very impressed Simon gushed,
” I think Pudsey is training you, I’ve worked it out now! One of my favourite acts, because I love animals.”
Another of Simon's favourites, opera duo Jonathon and Charlotte performed a magical rendition of The Prayer, which left judge Alesha wanting more.
The audience welcomed back former BGT talents Susan Boyle and Diversity as they delivered show stopping performances. We love a bit of SuBo.

Another act that left us laughing (and cringing) was the Showbears performance, as they were joined by judge David.
However, the act to trump the lot was Ashleigh and Pudsey who were crowned champions of Britains Got Talent 2012.
The runners-up included Only Boys Aloud in third place and Jonathan and Charlotte stealing second. We think that Ashley and Pudsey were worthy winners, there are even rumours that the show stealing pup could snap up a movie deal by the end of the year...but what did you Heatworld citizens think of this series, or the big finale?
We want to know your thoughts on this year's acts, the judging line-up and who you think deserved to win?
