She may not have had too much luck on The X Factor USA, but it looks like some folk still think she’s got American talent show potential.
Executives from TV producers Fremantle and 19 Entertainment reached out to Cheryl on Monday to see if she would be interested in joining American Idol, as a judge according to The New York Post.
Apparently an inside source has revealed the singer could be brought in alongside judge Jennifer Lopez, or even as a replacement for J.Lo if she doesn’t return for her third series on the show.
No more American Idol for J.Lo?
Seeing as Jennifer has already speculated that she may not feature on the next series of the show, there could be a space for our Cheryl.
“Now this is my second year - I don't know if I can go for a third year. I miss doing other things,” the On The Floor singer told Ellen DeGeneres on her chat show.
“It really does lock you down, which was nice the first year with the babies being three, but now they're getting more mobile, they're about to go into school ... so I just don't know.”
So what do you think – would you like to see Cheryl return to talent show judging?
