Jon Moses eliminated from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Superstar

Jon Moses eliminated from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Superstar

If we had our way, we'd have all eleven of the dashing finalists playing Jesus in Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Jesus Christ Superstar. But alas, that's just not really feesable.

Sadly the latest wannable Jesus to be voted off ITV's Superstar by the general public is Jon Moses.

Jon Moses is a 28-year-old cabaret singer from Newcastle, who promised to run around naked if he won the part of Jesus.

Gosh darn it!

Jon took singing lessons at school from the age of 13. He then joined a local youth choir and landed roles in Joseph and even as Oliver in Oliver Twist.

He currently works for a holiday company singing in holiday parks in the UK and abroad. Jon nearly didn't make it to the live finals as he was originally a reserve for the show. But after Andrew saw how far Jon had come in the process, he decided he had to join the boys on the Superstar stage.

Despite leaving Superstar, we've got a feeling this isn't the last we'll see of this talented young man.

Jon speaks to heat

We spoke to Jon about his future plans and tried to figure out just how Jesusy he really is. Here's what he had to say:

What’s the most Jesusy thing you’ve ever done?
I didn’t drink alcohol for four months in preparation for this show - I think that's pretty impressive! I also used to do a lot of charity gigs in old people's home.

What's next for you?
I’m open to offers. I’d love to get in to the West End, or maybe TV work – like Coronation Street or Emmerdale.
