The drama never ends on The Only Way Is Essex. And a good thing too, how boring would it be if everyone got along happily?

This week there are three relationships – past and present – under scrutiny.

First up, Jessica’s Wright parents – Carol and Big Mark – and Nanny Pat have a good old chinwag about Jess’ relationship with Ricky... and the possibility of him cheating.

Nanny Pat’s verdict, “If he does hurt her, he’ll get one of them, and I mean it. I’ve done it before...”

Later on Jess has a heart to heart with her mum, and shares her doubts about dating Ricky. “I’m going in this with my full heart and he knows that and I really hope that he’s true to his word,” she says.

Ricky, meanwhile is totally and completely oblivious to what’s being said about him (you you’re your burning ears, Ricky? It means people are talking about you!) and enjoys a nice drink with the lads.

“It’s like a little family I suppose, me, Jess, little dog,” he tells the boys. Let’s hope he doesn’t watch tonight episode and finds out how Jess is really feeling.

The James and Lydia saga

Next up, James ‘Arg’ Argent gets it from all sides as Sam Faiers and Billie and later on Mick Norcross all discuss his behaviour towards Lydia Bright at Joey Essex’s ‘80s birthday party.

“Why are you so angry? Do you have feelings for Lydia?” probes Sam.

While Mick is even harsher, telling Arg, “It was disrespectful to her, to you, to Gemma, to everyone that was around it, to reduce the girl into tears like that,

“If you was in my club and that was going on, the doorman would have hoofed you out the place...it was bang out of order,” he warns.

Bold statement

While Arg is getting it in the neck, new girlfriend Gemma Collins is opening up to Joan Collins.

“He either makes a big bold statement and woos me or that’s it, see you later James.” Oh dear. Arg had better watch out.

Thankfully, tonight’s episode isn’t all relationship doom and gloom. Gemma and Bobby enjoy some R&R and go for some reflexology.

Exposed feet leads Bobby to reminisce, “I was dating a guy once who wanted me to wear various flip flops while he touched himself

And on that note…

Tune into The Only Way Is Essex, tonight at 10pm on ITV2
