Sad times. MTV in the US has decided to cancel Jersey Shore once the sixth series ends. *Does sad fist-pump*
At least we still have Geordie Shore. Please don’t take that away from us, MTV!
With many of the cast moving on to their own spin off shows, and new mum Snooki swapping fist pumps for breast pumps it’s not that surprising to hear that the hit show is coming to and end.
Don’t feel too sad for Snooki, The Situation and co. – the main cast members are reportedly taking home $2million for the sixth series. That’s a lot of money for being filmed partying, arguing and getting tanned.

Jersey Shore remains MTV biggest ever show in the States. Its viewership peaked at 8.8 million people and is still the Number One cable show among 12-34 year olds (we’re not sure 12-year-olds should be watching!).
However, the audience for the show has begun to decline so MTV have pulled the plug.
With The Situation currently in the Big Brother house we wonder if he’s aware of the situation (sorry, we couldn’t help it).
Are you sad to see the back of the Jersey Shorers?
