Lauren Goodger has decided to follow in the footsteps of Amy Childs, Kirk Norcross and ex-boyfriend Mark Wright, by leaving The Only Way Is Essex.
Lauren, who found fame on the reality show, will not return for the new series.
"I can confirm Lauren Goodger will be taking a break and won't appear in the next series of The Only Way Is Essex,” an ITV source confirmed.
TOWIE sources insisted she could make a comeback as bosses are relaxing rules but a show spokesman confirmed we won’t see her in the new series.
Dancing On Ice rumours
Lauren and TOWIE producers have “mutually agreed” that she won’t return for now, but despite rumours, she hasn’t left the show so she can appear on ITV show Dancing On Ice.
A source said: “Lauren knows she is not an integral part of TOWIE anymore, so she’s decided to jump ship.
“An opportunity to do Dancing On Ice came along and she’s jumped at the chance.
“But ITV are really strict about TOWIE people doing other shows where they are treated as celebs, so she can’t do both.
“She hopes the public will see a different side to her on Dancing On Ice and that she will be able to launch a career off the back of it.
“She’s watched Mark pick up telly work after he quit and did I’m A Celebrity. She’s keen to do the same.”
These reports have now been denied.
TOWIE cast being reviewed
It looks like Lauren isn’t the only one who won’t be returning for the new series – the whole cast are being reviewed before filming begins, which could mean the end for some of the Essex boys and girls.
"All the cast will be reviewed before we start the next series of The Only Way Is Essex,” an ITV source revealed.
So who do you want to see in the new series? And who do you want to see get the boot?
