Helen Flanagan hasn't had much to do since leaving Coronation Street in February, poor dear, instead resorting to tweeting loads of pictures of herself in lingerie just to keep busy. We sympathise, we do the same. 

But now, thankfully, it looks like Helen will have something to do this winter, what with The Sun reporting that she has signed up for eating suspect kangaroo parts (read: dicks) and being showered with insects as part of the next series of I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!.

She is a celebrity

Helen, who left Weatherfield (that is code for Coronation Street, if you are not a Coronation Street fan) after 12 years on the show, has been shacked up with footballer boyfriend Scott Sinclair since leaving, and not doing a whole lot else on our screens.

The couple moved from Swansea to Manchester at the end of the summer following Scott's high-profile transfer to Manchester City, but Helen is saying "no!" to the WAG lifestyle, she is saying "no more delightful manicures and drinking at 2pm in the afternoon!", instead jetting off to Australia in November to go and swim around in lake with alligators in it and get woken up each morning by Ant and Dec.

Doing showers

Although it's not yet confirmed, it's assumed Helen will take up 'the one they film showering' role previous occupied by Myleene Klass, Nicola McLean and Emily Scott. Everyone has a role.

Georgia Salpa, fellow Cobbles (again, Coronation Street) veteran Ryan Thomas and former Conservative MP Louise Mensch are also rumoured to be in the running to eat a kangaroo dick or bollock on the show, although it's unclear which of them will be 'the one who gets mad whenever someone else does the cooking', which will be 'the one who joins halfway through, then leaves halfway through' and who will be 'the old one'.
