Strictly’s Louis Smith has finally apologised for having the temerity to send a tweet this weekend. FINALLY.
Well, no, it was a bit more serious than that. Louis managed to spill the fact that Sid Owen shuffled his way from off this Strictly coil a few hours before the results show aired on Saturday night, ruining the surprise for his 138,000-odd followers. Louis swiftly deleted the offending tweet on orders from up high, but we knew. We already knew.

Schedules
For those of you still confused by the smoke and mirrors illusion of television and you’re wondering how Louis knew the result hours before the show: he is not wizard. Louis Smith is not a wizard.
No. Louis actually found out the results of the dance-off on Friday, seeing as the Saturday show is filmed immediately after the live dances the night before. It's scheduling like that which gave Louis Smith the time to mourn properly the loss of Sid Owen, and then tweet about it, and then delete that tweet. Maybe just have two live shows, guys?
Unbelievable
“I couldn’t believe I accidentally gave the game away about the result,” Louis said this week. “The fans have been amazing to me and the last thing I’d want to do is ruin the surprise.
“It was such an emotional night and we were all exhausted,” he said. “I just completely forgot for a second when I was tweeting but realised straight away and deleted it. “ He said he won’t do it again, anyway. Good.
STOP RUINING STRICTLY, LOUIS SMITH
Cosmo
Louis swiftly managed to bury his shame last night, anyway, getting suited and booted and attending the Cosmo awards, where he was presented with a gong by Strictly co-star Kimberley Walsh and schmoozed about a bit with Richard Arnold. Where was Sid Owen in among all this glamour? He was across town, at the Spectacle Wearer of the Year awards. How quickly Strictly forgets.
