Last night’s Strictly Come Dancing saw Louis Smith lift the glitter ball trophy. While the crowning the Strictly champ is what the final is all about, the final also means it’s showdance time.
And we love, love, love seeing what the couples come up with for their showdances.
Denise Van Outen and James Jordan’s show dance was described as epic (and it was) – but the same could be said of the whole experience of watching all the showdances.
Winner Louis Smith and his partner Flavia Cacace performed a routine to Take That’s Rule The World that no only showed off the strength that Louis has as an Olympic gymnast, but also showed his skill and grace as a dancer.
Judge Darcy said of their dance, “That had grace. It had fluidity. It was sensual, as well." While Len gushed, "If this show goes on to another 20 years, I don't think we'll see another show dance like that."
Denise and James dance to What A Feeling – and what a feeling indeed! The acrobatic lifts that Denise pulled off left us watching open mouth. Bruno Tonioli said of Denise’s performance, “I can’t believe the things your body did.”
Dani Harmer’s nerves were visible during her dance to Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody and she didn’t get top marks from the judges, but we still loved her routine with Vincent Simone. Someone had to leave the final first, and Dani and Vincet were it.
“Indecent, improper, absolute filth - I loved it,” Craig Revel-Horwood said of Kimberley Walsh and Pasha Kovalev’s showdance to Beyonce’s Crazy In Love. Kimberley’s dance was super-hot and there was fire on the dancefloor – literally.
We loved all the dances, which was YOUR favourite?
