V Festival - Saturday
Rather than lazing in bed, on Saturday morning the heat team got our best glamping gear together for a weekend of festival fun at V Festival in Chelmsford.
We’d been given a pair of fabulous VIP camping tickets so, once we’d popped up our tent (well, once our boyfriends had popped up the tent, should we say), we headed to the Virgin Media Louder Lounge to grab a Pimms before heading out into the arena listen to some music.

Before we managed to get out into the arena we were distracted by the makeover opportunities available. Did we fancy a set of WAH nails or maybe a festival glam-over courtesy of MAC? Decisions, decisions!

Style Editor, Jo Hoare, headed for the MAC tent where she was given an instant shot of glam thanks to the fab make up artists

The weather got off to a good start, with sunshine peeping through the clouds. Unfortunately, the rain soon won out sending Essex glampers running for cover.

In the safety of the bar tent (the perfect place to hide out, obvs) we saw celeb best buds, Leigh Francis and Jade Jones having their pics taken in Marie Antoinette-inspired photo booth area. The pair larked about with wigs and stuffed swans, having a veritable whale of a time. Feeling a little left out, the heat crew decided it was high time we got involved in the pictures. So we joined the queue to wait for a very taut-faced Elen Rives to finish having her snaps done.

After having our pics done, we filled our tummies with delish BBQ food and headed out to see some live music. Well, it would be rude not to, right?
Tinie Tempah was ready to hit the stage, so we took a walk over in the hope we’d catch a glimpse of the handsome devil. No such luck. The crowd was HUGE! So we contented ourselves with a boogy at the back. Jessie J performed a blinding set, looking like a vision in purple whilst Plan B pleased the ladies of the crown with his fabulous vocals.

Back to the Louder Lounge we travelled, in search of more food and cocktails. This festival malarkey is bloomin’ hard work! There we bumped into TOWIE’s Harry and Sam who had definitely been making the most of the free hospitality. A tipsy Harry squealed, “I love heat! I SOOOOOOOO want to be in heat, put me in pleeeeeeaaaaase!!”
Ah, bless his cotton (probably vajazzled) socks.
The Arctic Monkeys were last to perform on Saturday. The band of Northern boys played an incredible set full of their crowd-pleasing old tunes mixed with some of their cool new ones. Alex decided to go all rockabilly with a curled up quaff and Elvis-esque leather jacket. A brilliant end to a great day. After a storming rendition of we sloped back to our sweaty tent to dream of Alex Turner, cocktails and giant cheeseburgers…
