Last Saturday those supermarket types at Sainsbury's played host to Sainsbury's Super Saturday to celebrate next year's Paralympics. All in the name of charideeee, some of the best names in pop turned up free of charge to support the great cause. On the bill: Nicola Roberts, Pixie Lott and The Wanted. heatworld was invited and as always, was all ears to bring you the best goss from the day!
After a quick chat with the incredibly lovely Larry Lamb about just what a great day Sainsbury’s had put on, he told us how surprised he gets by how much lady attention his son George gets: “He is 6’5 and wherever he goes, the girls just go mad!”.
We also spotted Louie Spence who must have been having a day off from his usual hyperactive self as he chilled out with a mojito in the corner of the VIP bar surrounded by his mates.
We also witnessed just how much teenage girls adore Dappy. After loads stood for hours pressed up against the VIP gate for just a glimpse, all hell kicked off when he eventually did arrive. Accompanied by a ridiculously massive body-guard, Dappy traipsed around the VIP section inadvertently picking up an ever-increasing trail of 15 year old girls everywhere he went.
Overheard at the bar: Barman one: ‘Who is he?’ Barman Two: ‘I think he is in that band with the girl’. Barman one: ‘Oh yeah, the Black Eyes Peas?’ LOL!
The only lady who managed to get more attention than Dappy was Nanny Pat. The world’s fave grandma was posing for photos all day, almost pipped to the post only by two of the stars of Channel 4’s Seven Dwarves, who were constantly being stopped.
Other celebs spotted: Rick Edwards who was surprisingly even hotter in the flesh. Some of the Made in Chelsea girls, who were getting friendly and taking photos with Jess from The Only Way Is Essex. Natasha from Atomic Kitten and her gorgeous baby, Radio One DJ Annie Nightingale, Mollie from The Sats (looking so teeny tiny, but very gorgeous) and Lisa Snowdon.
Oh and Amelle from the Sugababes (who were performing) joined us for lunch. Well, we say joined, but it was more like plopped herself down at our table and ignored us, basically the same thing, right?
