As regular heat readers will know, we’ve got a bit of thang for Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, as they’re two royals who actually seem to know how to have a good time. And this story makes us like Beatrice even more – it seems that she’s hilariously dappy too. The 20-year-old history student got her BMW stolen yesterday… because she left it unlocked, with the keys in the ignition, while she popped into a shop. DOH! Beatrice and her police protection officer nipped into a shop in Kensington, west London, in broad daylight when the car, which was Beatrice’s 17th birthday present from her old pop Prince Andrew, was driven off at high speed by an opportunistic thief. Beatrice is said to be upset and embarrassed by the incident and, just like us normal, non blue-blooded folk, she decided the best way to deal with such a humiliation was to go to the pub. Her younger sister Eugenie was soon brought to the scene, and the two girls drowned their sorrows. “They looked very cool and it didn’t seem anything was wrong,” says pub landlord Fei Hameed. We like their style.
