There's been a mixed reaction this morning to the news that Chris Evans will be taking over from long-running and very popular Sir Terry Wogan on the Radio 2 Breakfast Show slot, with some listeners even threatening to boycott the station. Tezza has been hosting the Wake Up to Wogan show since 1972 – taking a few years break to focus on his TV show from 1985-92 – and is the nation's most popular morning man, with millions of devoted fans. Terry said of his decision to leave at the end of the year, "This is the hardest thing I have ever done in my broadcasting career, to say goodbye to you in the mornings. I'd rather leave while we're in love, as the song says, while we still delight in each other's company. This is not goodbye, it's not even au revoir... As they used to say when I was a lad 'See you later alligator... in a while, crocodile." Terry will still be working on a weekend radio show, but Chris Evans will be taking over his reins in the morning. Chris said today, "This is very much Terry's story, not mine, as well it should be. I couldn't be more excited at the prospect of hosting the flagship show on one of the BBC's national networks." Chris, who was once sacked from Radio 1 for failing to turn up to work, clearly has a tough job ahead of him. What do YOU think of Chris being Terry's replacement? Do you even care?
