The love between a bunny and its balloon

This modern day romance brought a tear to our eyes.

Just look at its ickle face... Eeeeeeeee.

This cosy little fella was born in late August at the National Aquarium.

What's the matter, buddy?

Baby pandas and sloths are sooooooo last season.

Just look at his big ol' smile - he bleedin' loves it.

Don't worry - Obie's owner has put him on a strict diet so he'll be back to his old, svelte self in no time.

A quote from his owner: "He is a 5 year old standard dachshund. He is on a special diet to lose the weight and get back to being a happy dog. [His owners] think that he should weigh about 30 to 40 pounds. [They] immediately took him to the vet for blood work and it miraculously came back normal. [They] plan to do swim therapy with him and treadmill work once he starts to lose a little. He will need a dental and may eventually need to have excess skin surgically removed."
