Back in February 2011, Rihanna reacted to comments Ciara made on Joan Rivers Fashion Police, saying she’d bumped into Ri-Ri at a party and she “wasn’t the nicest”. Then Joan Rivers managed to utter some words out of her tightened face that vaguely sounded like she was saying ‘bitch’. THEN IT GOT ALL CRAZY ON TWITTER.
“My bad ci,” said Rihanna (just assume we are saying ‘sic’ after every word in this). “did I 4get to tip u? #howrudeofme”. Then Ciara was all like “Trust me Rhianna u don’t want to see me on or off stage” and it looked like it would kick off. “U gangsta huh?” said Rihanna. “Haaa. Good luck with bookin that stage u speak of.”
And just when we thought it was going to end up in a Fight Club-style stripped-to-the-waist brawl, the pair kissed and made up. “Rhi u know it’s always been love since day 1!” said Ciara. Boo, we say. BOO! Be mean to each other on Twitter again!
When he’s not being really sad into a microphone, Drake is on Twitter, bragging about his wealth. This is what rappers do. And, honestly, if we were that rich, so would we.
Still, this is about our favourite Twitter exchange of all time. Drizzy gets all melancholy over being a millionaire, and then oil tycoon T. Boone Pickens just slam dunks him into the ground. T. BOONE PICKENS FACTS: T. Boone Pickens is 84 years old. He is worth around $1.4 billion. He has the coolest name ever.
We all remember where we were when Lee Ryan called us close and cooed into our ears: “Sammi told me she’s gonna sell another story on me tomorrow! Instead of me wasting time thought I would let you all [bleep]ing know. Great!!!!”
Apparently, ex- Sammi (and mother to wee Rayn Ryan) had mildly sounded out a journalist about selling her story to a newspaper. “You can’t say [bleep] Sammi!” Lee continued, calmly. “Telling me your gonna sell a story as a weapon hopefully this will shut you the [bloop] up!!! Stop using who i am.” Yes. Yes. Stop using who Lee Ryan is.
Lee Ryan has since deleted the tweets because they were mean, but seeing as all this is coming from a man who once said “I’m an expert at kissing girls necks, they love it” and “There is something really mysterious about lions”, it really cannot be long until he’s at it again.
Earlier this month Nicki Minaj shouted at Mariah Carey so hard on American Idol that it spilled out onto Twitter. Imagine shouting that loud. Imagine.
Nicki was reacting to a post-match interview Mariah held with American TV host Barbara Walters in which she made the vague implication that Nicki had threatened her with a gun. “Hey yAll,” said Nicki, punctuation be damned. “Lets just say nicki said smthn about a gun. ppl will believe it cuz she’s a black rapper. Lmao.” It’s the historians we worry about, in the future, when they try and decipher a single word any of us said in 2012.
X Factor hopeful James Arthur got his live final campaign off to a winning start by… uh… basically having a go at every nerd on the Internet. “Who are these people on the Digital Spy forums!?!?” he asked. Do you want names, James? “Some of these fools don’t even realise how disgustingly ignorant and ridiculous there opinions are!! Get a life.” Lesson we have learned: do not trash talk James Arthur on the internet. He will find out. He will rant about it on Twitter. He might sing a sad song about it on television.
