I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! producer Nick Johns has revealed nutty nutritionist Gillian McKeith as his most demanding campmate (ever?). He said:
'I have lost count of her requests. She asked to leave the jungle. She asked not to be voted for trials. She asked for a pardon to get out of jail.’
‘And then she put in requests for a blender and a fridge, as well as a DVD player to watch The X Factor because she was missing it.’
Er sorry but, Mariah who? But to be fair, we wouldn’t let a little jungle get in the way of watching The X Factor either.
‘She also asked for a different type of bean because she didn't like the ones we gave camp, along with 80 loo rolls.’
80 loo rolls? That lady must be eating her fruit and fibre! Could Gillian have been planning a loo roll peace offering to arch enemy Shaun Ryder? Or maybe some sort of TP jungle protest? With that sort of volume, the possibilities are frankly, endless.
Meanwhile, bonkers Gillian has paired with camp mate Lembit Opik and in preparation for their theatrical debut. Lembit and Gillian – the ultimate dream team.
Lembit Opik and Gillian McKeith on tour
The pair will take to stage as Lembit Opik tries to cure Gillian’s insect phobias before a live audience, all for our entertainment!
Lembit said: "She's a lovely woman and it would be great to do something with her. Going on tour would be a great idea. I'd be very happy to do that - I do have to find work after all."
He’s got a point. I doubt the House of Commons are planning a Welcome Home party just yet… an insect roadshow is just the thing to pay the bills!
But that’s not where the partnership ends. The ex-MP also had even hotter plans to reveal:
"We've been talking about writing a book called Insects Are My Friends. It would be a children's book - but it could also help Gillian!"
Fingers crossed it’s out in time for Christmas. Ideal stocking filler.
