According to tabloid reports this weekend, Sophie Ellis-Bextor has replaced Kate Moss as the new face of Rimmel – however, we can reveal that this isn’t quite the case. Although the high street make-up brand have taken on Sophie, they haven’t got rid of Kate – she just won’t be everywhere. “Kate Moss is a worldwide inspiration and leader in fashion and beauty, and has been an iconic face for Rimmel London,” says a spokesman for Coty Beauty, who own Rimmel. “I am thrilled we are continuing our professional partnership… "Because Rimmel London is one of the fastest growing cosmetic brands globally and reaching a significant critical mass in sales, Coty is considering other models to work alongside Kate Moss to reach new global markets in Asia, South America, and the Middle East.” Kate’s face has been splashed all over Rimmel ads for years, so it’s good that they’re getting some fresh meat, but whose look do you prefer – Kate’s iconic beauty, or Sophie’s quirkier features?
