Because being a part of the show clearly seriously affects your fashion sense. Exhibit 1: Last year’s contestant Diana Vickers wearing some ill-advised dungarees (where can you even buy those these days?), some cheap looking boots and a five year-olds t-shirt. Exhibit 2: This year’s finalist Rikki in his granddad’s cardigan, flip flops (it is Autumn you know) and some rolled up jeans that look like he’s waiting for the floods. Exhibit 3: The usually flawless Cheryl Cole in a hat she’s obviouslystolen from Rikki, a horrific bag that probably cost her around £8000, and a pair of jeans that look like they’ve been attacked by an angry cat.
