heat popped over to the Isle of Man Bay Festival this weekend for sun, songs and plenty of poptastic dancing. We hung out with the likes of The Saturdays, JLS, Lemar, Spandau Ballet, Olly Murs, DJ Ironik, The Coronas, Danyl Johnson and Calvin Harris to name a few.
The Saturdays took to the stage on Friday in vibrant neon Aqua dresses covered in gold studding. We had a chat to the girls while they had their lunch (tuna pasta salad, if you’re wondering) who were all really excited to be performing. Whilst chatting, heat spotted a very handsome young fella waiting patiently in the background for his gorgeous girlf. JLS hottie Marvin looked over the moon to finally have the chance to spend a bit of time with Rochelle, they both wandered around the site holding hands and looking thoroughly loved up.
On Saturday, superstar DJ Calvin Harris performed a knockout set despite having been sick with flu all week. We saw the poor bloke just after he came off the stage and he was definitely looking more than a bit green.
We nipped into the catering tent to grab a bite to eat but found the trays empty; the Diversity boys had all been in to fill their plates! Fair enough, their performance was pretty much the most energetic show heat has seen all year, so they needed their carbs.
Lemar held up the show by half an hour to watch the footy on Friday night. Disappointing as the England boys were, our bloke went on and blew the crowd away with top class vocals.
Best spot of all? Peter "voice of The X Factor" Dickenson! He was hosting and made heat’s weekend by shouting in his best X Factor voice, “I love heat! I reserve six copies a week down my local newsagent.” Love you too, Pete!
