Katie Holmes' life is a never-ending rollercoaster of style highs and lows.

While she's hardly 'ug-by-day, she's definitely not shy of letting her fashion facade down once in a while, often snapped without a scrap of makeup on and uber-baggy clothes.

Which makes her glamsformation (ahem) last night all the more dramatic. And got us thinking, how many other stars go from blah to bow chuka chuka wah wah in the blink of an eye (shadow)?

    So lovely to know that the more rich and aesthetically beautiful a woman is, the more she gets picked apart. Seriously, this is such nonsense. Not forgetting the fact that these women look better sans slap than the rest of us at our best anyway, who are any of us to begrudge them for looking normal?

    And what? In normal everyday life we need to look normal, if we looked gorgeous and glamerous in the day what difference would there be for evening functions?

    Is there really anything wrong with having a dress down day, even celebs should be alowed to have a few days where they just don't care without it being picked apart.
