Nicole Scherzinger shows Cheryl Cole how it's done!

Is Nicole Scherzinger sticking one perfectly manicured finger up at Cheryl Cole's style?

She's already nabbed Cheryl US X Factor gig - and now it seems Nicole's trying to outdo Ms Cole in the style stakes too.

Cheryl got slated for having a go at colour blocking last month - from her missing in action feet to the larger than life hair - her debut X Factor look (by DVF no less) was panned by most.

And now Nicole's had a go - opting to wear a similar purple and orange outfit by Gucci, worth £1,975.

So...is she having a go at Cheryl's style? Perhaps she's having a pop at loyalists calling for Cole's comeback? Or maybe, just maybe, it's just one very unfortunate style statement...

Whaddya think?

    Just goes to show that, once again, Cheryl Cole really is a trendsetter - her only issue is that, poor thing, there was a bit of overkill on her outfit. I've got a lot of time for Nicole, and she looks stunning as usual. The only thing I would say is that I prefer the richness of Cheryl's colours. Seriously, those tones are delicious. They just need to be applied in the right context.

    I thought that, Nicole's top isn't even orange, is it? Cheryl has cankles? There was that picture of her in the spotty dress and spotty shoes but I think it was the ankle strap on the shoes that gave the appearance of cankles.

    Much prefer Nicoles outfit although i don't think pink can be classed as orange. Ok so we know that Cheryl has a problem with her cankles but is covering up the whole foot really needed.

    I think that when you compare the two pics above you can clearly see that the right person was selected for the job! I am basing that on Nicole's previous judging credentials too, I liked her on our X Factor.

    Thats a bit stupid Chrisjd! She didnt take her Job, she filled an empty position. Its not her fault Cheryl got the boot. FFS thousands of people loose there job every day of the week, its not nice but its life!

    im actually really startin to go nicole!! i admit i love cheryl!! but i think taking her job was a slap in the face for chezza enough!! now she just looks like a right cow!!!!!!

    I actually think Nicole looks amazing, not mad about the shoes but the rest of the outfit is fab and I fricking love her hair

    Lol Orange...i'm so used to stubborness, my mum, sister and boyfriend are all the same ha! think me and me dad are the only 'go with the flow' ones in the family! x

    For what it's worth I don't think the purple and orange outfit that Nicole is wearing is that nice. What's going on with the top? And okay you can see her shoes but why wear those shoe boot things with that outfit? It just doesn't work. I've said it before, she hasn't been making great fashion choices lately and has received a bit of a slating herself for some of her recent outfits.
