When we first saw these pics we had to rub our eyes in amazement. Surely it's a bit too soon to be mimicking late singer Amy Winehouse on the catwalks?
Jean Paul Gaultier's show at Paris Fashion Week yesterday was supposed to be a tribute to Amy Winehouse. Instead her dad Mitch has said his family are 'shocked' by the collection which featured models dressed remarkably similar to the late singer.
Jean Paul used Amy's love of the fifties as inspiration for his latest collection. As well as pieces inspired by the late singer, the designer took the controversial decision to give the models big Amy-style beehives and her trademark flicked eyeliner.
Mitch Winehouse has spoken out saying he and his family find the 'tribute' distressing.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Mitch said, "The family was upset to see those pictures, they were a total shock. We're still grieving for her loss, and we've had a difficult week with the six-month anniversary."
Mitch also said that no-one had offered to make a donation to the fund he set up in his daughter's name, The Amy Winehouse Foundation.
Gaultier still believes his show was a great tribute to Amy saying, "She was an icon of fashion and truly, the sense of how she mixed the clothes - it was great."
What do you think, heatworlders, was the show a tribute to Amy's memory or is it just too soon after her tragic death to use the singer as creative inspiration?
