Are you ready for a pretty-frock-break? Yes? Good! Here's the first of a two-part round up of all the goregous dresses that have flounced up and down the catwalks in Paris...

We'll begin our lustfest over Paris Fashion Week with Chanel, the go-to fashion house of the likes of Keira Knightley, Vanessa Paradis and Alexa Chung. Designer Karl Lagarfeld chose a palette of pale and royal blue with shots of grey and black. Models wore trademark Chanel boucle tailoring with quad-strapped heels. Necklines were wide and quirky and hem lengths demure. Has Karl been looking to our very own Duchess of Cambridge for inspiration? Perhaps he's trying to steal her attentions from Sarah Burton and McQueen...

At Giambattista Valli, the ever-flattring peplum was the key ingredient. Sheer pencils skirts were topped with pretty frothy peps in Pink, black and white. Toe-cap heels and minimal make up finished the look. We can definitely see Valli fan Emma Watson rocking one of these cute frocks.
