The Woman In Black world premiere

Posted by 25 January 2012 10:38

Last night was the night of the world premiere of The Woman In Black. It was also the night where our Daniel Radcliffe mini-crush grew into a giant, big fat crush.

We arrived at the London's Royal Festival Hall for the premiere of the scary film and after a terrifying trip down the red carpet (walking past Daniel doing interviews) we scrambled inside to take our seats.

Daniel looked very dashing in his double-breasted suit and crisp white shirt, both Antonio Azzuolo, teamed with a checked pocket square and spotty tie, both from The Tie Bar. A pair of classic Grenson black shoes finished a look that's a million miles away from his boy wizard past.

As scary as the film is (we honestly screamed out loud at parts), some of the outfits seen on the red carpet were even scarier.

Jonathan Ross and his wife Jane Goldman aslo attended the event. Jane, who wrote the screenplay for the movie, opted for a cleavage-busting tutu dress and giant heels. This is how we imagine Avril Lavigne will be dressing when she's older.

Corey Feldman took time out from spinning around on an ice rink to take his blonde

ladyfriend to the premiere. Is it wrong that we're a bit disappointed her left his nasty rat tail at home? Not to worry, his outfit was gross enough to keep us entertained.

Mark Wright and his Take Me Out: The Gossip co-presenter Zoe Hardman paired up for a cosy night at the flicks. Mark's checked suit was way too busy for our liking and Zoe appeared to have forgotten to wear a top.

There were 2 men in the play, yes. Arthur as an old man, telling the story to an actor who would play him and act out the story. Oh, there was of course, the woman hehe. But yes, she is a ghost. Arthur is married to 2 women in the story at separate times. Stella when he's younger and Esme when he's older. I wouldn't say they are significant love interests Hollywood style though.

I've never read the book, but i have seen the play and an old 80's version. LOVE THE PLAY. my understanding too, is that the woman in black is a ghost? and in the wasn't there only 2 men and the woman? no love interest....it was years ago i went though.

Magaziner, I'm glad you love the book and theatrical production as much as I do. But, it is my understanding that the woman in black is a ghost. She's the spirit of a woman who died of a wasting disease and a broken heart. There is a love interest for Arthur Kipps, his wife Stella and his wife in later life. I agree though, this Holywood production doesn't look true to the book. I'll still see it though.

In all honesty, I love Dan Rad, BUT I loved the ITV adaption of The Woman In Black from years ago-1989 I think. I loved the theatre version and i ADORE the book. Hollywood have over "glittered" it as usual, from the trailer alone implys there's more unessesary ghostly heppenings and too many characters. The book focusses on an actual WOMAN not a spirit. It also centres attention on the main gent- Arthur Kipps and his befriended fellow- Keckwick and Sam Toovey. So disappointment sunk in when I realised there was a female love interest in the movie and the fact they've tried to make the Woman in Black a ghost rather than a being.

Corey Feldman looks like Michael Jackson in that picture. I can't wait to see that film now, I wasn't interested til I seen the trailer last night, it looks really creepy! Lustylimbs, I didn't know there was a book, might have to read that first?
