Whilst we were snuggled up on the sofa wearing three pairs of socks under two blankets clutching a hot water bottle last night, it was another story across the pond as New York Fashion week kicked off. The great and good of the fash world will have a busy few days pitting their best F-Row looks against one another but who is emerging as an early style winner?
Vanessa Hudgens has put herself mid of the race with her sheer and leather combo –we think we’d have preferred she lost the 80’s cross and swapped the evening shoes for tougher boots but still thinks she looks pretty cute.
Alexa Chung is our bottom of the class dressing more for a chilly day at the local Sixth Form college in thick opaques, chunky v neck and a sensible coat.
We have to say we weren’t massive fans of Whitney Port’s Venetian blind effect dress either. Not the most flattering thing we’ve seen on the gorgeous City star.
Mary-Kate Olsen made a strong style statement in a pyjama style two piece and as tricky a trend as it is we think she pulled it off.
Newcomer Shailen Woodley looked super cute in a horse and bird print shirt, teamed with laid back separates and a side ponytail and is probably a tie for our fave with Leigh Lezark who went for high fashion in a Cytnhia Rowley geometric pink statement dress.
We’ll bring you all the new NY fashion week shots as they come in.
