Last night, Hollywood was all-go for the biggest event in the social calendar: The Oscars. Or, if you'd like to be formal about it, the 84th Academy Awards. True to (very leggy) form, Angelina Jolie stole the show in a black Versace dress. Shoulderless AND slit all the way up to her knickers, she still managed to make it look classy. And we haven't seen her look alive behind the eyes in ages.
Anna Faris is another contender for best dressed of the night. In a back-bearing black sequinned Diane von Furstenberg frock and Tiffany diamond drop earrings, she turned heads without showing too much flesh.
Emma Stone's dress is marmite-y to say the least. The red Giambattista Valli dress clashed with the carpet and had a fair bit of extra fabric around the neck...but Emma still looked stunning. What do you think?
Glenn Close may have lost out to Meryl Streep in the actual Oscar stakes, but when it comes to all things sartorial, she got it right in a midnight green Zac Posen dress with a matching tuxedo jacket.
Never one to hide her assets, Jennifer Lopez wore a shimmery off-white dress that was so transparent, hip-hugging and skin-baring that the entire outfit - designed by Zuhair Murad - could technically be considered a wardrobe malfunction.
Not only did Bridesmaids star Kristen Wiig work her nude J Mendel dress, but made it edgy with a dark manicure and glam with Neil Lane jewellery.
Milla Jovovich was one of the first A-List attendees to hit the carpet, and she set the standard for the night in a white off-the-shoulder Ellie Saab dress.
Natalie Portman, who won the Oscar last year for Best Actress, refused to be a wallflower last night. She showed off her post-pregnancy figure in a red polka dot dress - vintage haute couture Christian Dior, no less!
Girl With The Dragon Tattoo star Rooney Mara wore an elegant Givenchy gown with fin-like details and crisscrossed straps.
Viola Davis, who was nominated for Best Actress, wore an understated Vera Wang dress, and refreshingly decided to not wear a weave.
