Filming of Candace Bushnell's iconic pre-Sex And The City novel, The Carrie Diaries, commenced in New York over the weekend and we've got the pics to prove it! AnnaSophia Robb is the lucky actress chosen to step into young Carrie Bradshaw's spiky heels for the TV show. Wearing a floral pussy-bow blouse, black mini and patent pointy courts, AnnaSophia's usually sleek locks have been transformed into a mass of curly hair just like Carrie's. To get Carrie's signature curls, AnnaSophia had to have her hair spiral tonged every day. Because the show is set in the eighties there's no serum to smooth the frizz. She's also seen carrying a black bag that's been splattered with paints and polishes. As this is way before the nameplate necklace, we're going to have to make do with the nameplate bag instead. She's even seen clutching a Century 21 bag! We all know how much Carrie loved to trawl the rails in Century 21...
The story follows a young Carrie Bradshaw's arrival in New York in the eighties. Along the way she meets the girls who will later become her BFFs - Charlotte, Samantha and Miranda. We cannot WAIT to see more pics!
