It’s extensions at dawn today in Liverpool as the organiser of Liverpool Fashion Week, (nope we didn’t know there was one either), Amanda Moss has slagged off the tans, brows and lashes look loved by the city and banned models with the “Liverpool look” from taking part in the shows. She’s said: “'I’m getting tough with this year’s models. There’s to be no ‘Scouse’ look, so big hair, brows and OTT lashes are out.”
The stars of Desperate Scousewives are unimpressed with her comments with Debbie O Toole saying: "We're all proper Scouse girls, we love our city and we're proud of our style. It isn't just the Scousewives lot who go for the glossy look, Liverpool Fashion Week are basically slating girls like Abbey Clancy, Heidi Range, Alex Gerrard, Jennifer Ellison and any girl who represents Liverpool and our glam look! “ Sister Gill added: "It's just bitchiness, we try not to be horrible about people but really, have you seen how the woman who made these comments dresses? She certainly isn't one to talk about style!”
Amanda Moss is no fan of the show though as she said of the series:'Desperate Scousewives hasn't done Liverpool Fashion Week any favours and it's made it difficult to be taken seriously.
'All of the women on that show go out looking for a boyfriend caked in makeup but they will never find anyone looking like that. My husband hates it when I go out wearing fake eyelashes, it's just not the look men want.
'It's not a beauty pageant, we're the second biggest fashion event after London Fashion Week in the UK. People need to recognise this and this year I want the event to be more upmarket and credible.'
Do you agree with Amanda Moss or are you firmly on the side of the Scousewives? Let us know.
