Remember back in the 90s when the coolest thing in the world to have was a mood ring? Even Tamagotchi key rings weren't as awesome as a mood ring. Well, for us girls anyway...
The ever-colourful Katy Perry, who features on the cover of L'Uomo mag this month, has likened her quirky style to our fave retro accessory. Seriously, Katy Perry is a big mood ring! We couldn't think of a better way to describe her funky look.
In the interview with L'Uomo Katy said her overall look was "like an ever-evolving mood ring. However I feel when I wake up is exactly how I dress. It's many different things because I feel many different things and almost feel like I have multiple personalities inside of me and want to express them all at different times or sometimes all at the same time. I generally just like to have fun and sometimes I'll imagine and create a world and try to dress like that thing I've created for 6 months or so. Right now, I'm really into the fairy nymph, white witch, goth vibe."
We thought we'd take a look back through some of her recent moody looks. You know, just because. Have a look through our gallery and let us know which KP outfit is your fave...
Katy kicked off summer's neon obsession with her highlighter green Gerlan crop top 'n' mini skirt combo. Prada peep toes and a streaky ponytail helped her win most colourful of the night (for us, anyway)
Getting wiggy with it in a studded black and gold Emilio Pucci mini dress and vibrant blue hair
P-p-p-p-Prada! The singer chose head-to-toe Prada for a visit to Paris. We were mega jealous of her flame-heeled shoes!
Giving the roaring twenties a go in a silk Nolan Miller slip paired with Manola Blahnik heels. We love that KP goes all out when she takes on a look, her retro waves work beautifully and the plummy shade brings a modern edge
This must be the "fairy nymph, white witch, goth vibe" she was talking about. Perry chose vintage monochrome for a night out with new fella Robert in London recently
Very lovely in lilac at the Billboard Awards, Katy shone in her sparkling Blumarine gown
Pinked-up rockabilly was the order of the day for the MTV EMAs. Perry hit up designer Jeremy Scott for some kitsch girly fun
Hey, the lady loves cats alright! Why the heck shouldn't she be able to walk around town with a glittery cat mask on?
Not one to shy away from a trend, Katy took her love for fuchsia to the next level in Giambattista Valli for dinner with her ex-hubby's mum in London
